Bedouin beginnings?

Tribal tendencies for sure.  

Being outside on a chilly evening, tucked inside a homemade tent, turned out to be much more magical than imagined. All without having to cross the desert on a camel.   Nice.

My starting point?  The ubiquitous Farmer's Market Style E-Z UP Canopy frame decorated with fun fabric, Cost Plus-style lanterns, sparkly chargers, coasters and glitzy glasses.

Click here to see how quickly an EZ Up Canopy pops into place.  Could be a good addition to an earthquake kit, in which case I'd buy the E-Z Up Screen Room for a 10'x10' Dome or Sierra Instant Shelter, which has screens and is less expensive than the canopy I purchased.  Go figure.

A fine place for celebrating Friendships, Family and Father's Day.

Absolutely marvelous.

I was a Berber in a past life and so I know that I lived, ate, and slept in tents, but nothing as magnificent as your creation.

You are incredible!!! … I have one of those pop–up guys and the thought never even occurred to me!!!  Your version sooooo much nicer and romantic … plus all your treasures collected on your travels.  Nice job, girl!!!

I just watched your tent video again----all I can say is WOW!  You MADE that?   WOW!  You took my childhood memories of playing in a cardboard box or covering the dining room table with a sheet  to an super accelerated level!  BRAVO!  KO

I LOVE, love , love your tent.....I wish I could transport it over here for a small birthday I spontaneously am hosting tomorrow night....don't think I have time to attempt one at this late stage.....those pop ups are great but the idea of stripping it and using the base is fabulous!!!  JB
